[12/365] Thirty Seconds: Journey

This has to be a quick post.  Fitting for a quickly made film!

Today will be a TWO FILM DAY because I am sadly behind… yesterday we moved from Glasgow to Edinburgh, and moving days are always bigtime busy.

You’ll get another film later!

This film is about travel.  2 parts car, 1 part plane.  The score gives it a mysterious feel (or at least that’s the aim).  At the end of it you’re supposed to wonder where the journey is headed – I’m trying to create a combination of apprehension and curiosity.  The journey is in 3 sections and in each section there is a blurry part then a focussed (sort of) part.

Because I think a lot of journeys are like that.

I used old footage – some from Canberra, some from the USA.

I used a score that I wrote on my iPad in the early hours of this morning using Apple loops.

There isn’t much more to say about this one – it’s pretty basic and rushed, but hopefully it evokes some feelings in you viewers!

SEE YOU LATER.  Legit.  I’ll actually be here later.

Remember, remember, the fifth of November, The Gunpowder Treason and plot.

I have been excited about being in the UK for Guy Fawkes night for the longest time.  I think I might even make a film about it!

Score: Garageband (iPad first then tweaked on Mac)

Editing: Final Cut Pro
